The new requirements for non-Nichada residents accessing Nichada Thani via the Samakee Gate go into effect Monday, October 12th. With these changes we anticipate traffic will be impacted.
To assist with traffic flow next week we are asking all students and ISB faculty/staff who ride School/Montri Buses in the morning to be ready for pick-up 10 minutes earlier than their usual pick-up time. We are also recommending to those that enter through the Samakee Gate to give yourselves extra time to get to ISB.
The Nichada Express Pass is for Non-Nichada residents and can be used during rush hours (Monday – Friday from 6:30-7:30 a.m. and 1:30-2:30 p.m) and allows non-resident vehicles or pedestrians to pass through the Samakee gate without an ID exchange. At all other times, the driver or pedestrian will need to exchange an ID (Thai ID card, Driver’s License, Passport or the Nichada Express Pass). Please see below for details on how to purchase a Nichada Express Pass.
New Nichada Thani Security Arrangements for Pedestrians/Cyclists
- ISB students (Grades 6-12) living outside of Nichada will be allowed entrance into Nichada Thani by either wearing an ISB uniform, showing an ISB ID card, a Nichada issued ID, or other government issued ID.
- ISB students (Grades 6-12) living inside Nichada who walk, run, or bike out of the Samakee Gate will need to have an ISB uniform, ISB ID card, a Nichada issued ID, or other government issued ID in-order to re-enter Nichada Thani.
- ISB Students (Nichada Thani residents and non-Nichada Thani residents) in grades PK-5 will not need any ID to pass through or exchange at the Samakee Gate.
New Nichada Thani Security Arrangements for Motor Vehicles
- For drivers, any vehicle that has a Nichada Thani vehicle sticker or is carrying a resident ID, Nichada Club Pass or Clark Hatch Club Pass can enter and exit at anytime.
- Taxi – Taxi drivers are required to exchange their ID in-order to enter Nichada. In addition, if the taxi includes a non-Nichada resident, at least one person in taxi should have a Nichada Express Pass or Government Issued ID to show during rush hours or exchange during non-rush hours.
- Montri Buses and Vans – Are allowed to enter – No express pass or document exchange needed.
- If you come in with a personal driver, either ISB employee, student, or parent must have the express pass or your driver will need to exchange their government issued ID.
