ES Parent Teacher Conferences Oct. 1-2, 2015
We are very much looking forward to seeing you at Parent Conferences on Thursday and Friday of next week. Please be reminded that there are no formal lessons for students on these days. However, if your child is in Grades 2-5, we encourage you to bring them to the conference. Students do not need to wear a uniform on this day.
All students are welcome to attend the Book Fair in the ES library HUB and the ESMPR where supervision will be provided.
The online scheduler, Pick-a-Time is still open for for parents to make appointment bookings. It will close on Tuesday, Sept. 29 at 2pm. Making a change to your conference schedule is easy. You can log onhere.
Should you wish to speak with any of our counselors — Ryan Ruhl (PreK), Kate Kersey (KG – Gr. 2) or Doug Williamson (Gr. 3 – 5) — please know they will be available in their offices or you can make an appointment in advance.
Book Fair Returns October 1-2
Come to the ES HUB and MPR on October 1 and 2 to browse thousands of books from vendors including: Asia Books, Kinokuniya, Scholastic and Mambooks@53. Our gigantic selection fills the ES HUB and ES MPR! 7:30-3:30, October 1 and 2, during parent teacher conferences.
ES After School Activities
After School Activities are well underway. A list of ASA locations remains posted outside the ES office for your reference.
There are limited spaces available in some of our ASA. You can still register but don’t delay! Remember once the ASA schedule begins there are NO REFUNDS however you may change your ASA choice once it is before the third session.
Please note that Thursday and Friday, October 1st and 2nd, no school (parent- teacher conferences) – no ASA.
I am in the office daily from 1:30pm – 3:30pm if you have any questions or concerns.

Panther Learn to Swim Session 2 for ES students
Panther Learn to Swim Session 2 is now open. The program will run two separate classes, a Monday/Wednesday class, and a Tuesday/Thursday class. Cost for the class is 5,000 baht for a 6 week course (12 lessons). Session 2 starts from Oct 26 to Dec 3, 2015. Places are very limited. Please see Khun Fon at Community Activities Office to sign up.

(Repeat) Elementary School International Day Volunteers Needed
ES International Day is set for Friday, 30 October, 2015. This is a fun filled day for the elementary school when parents turn the classrooms into various countries represented here at ISB. Students learn the history, heritage, and culture, of these countries through playing games, creating beautiful artwork, tasting new foods, and learning new languages. This special day of learning only happens because of parent volunteers. Submitting an announcement for publication
ISB accepts announcements from ISB families and ISB staff for potential publication in our eNewsletters. The announcements are generally intended to highlight events that occur at ISB and/or highlight information about ISB.
What to include in the announcement
- A title for your announcement
- An email contact for further information
- An image or photo (optional)
Where to submit your announcement

tinaratr@isb.ac.th is for Elementary School (ES) announcements of interest to ES families.
dennish@isb.ac.th is for Middle School (MS) announcements of interest to MS families.
vijitl@isb.ac.th is for High School (HS) announcements of interest to HS families.
Your announcement will be submitted to the appropriate Principal and/or to our Marketing Director for review. ISB reserves the right to determine which announcements will and will not be published, and to edit announcements that are approved for publication.
Frequency of eNewsletter mailings
The ISB eNewsletter that is for the entire community is sent out on Thursdays. Announcements for potential publication in this newsletter must be received by noon on Thursdays.
The ES, MS, and HS eNewsletters are sent out on Fridays. Announcements for potential publication in these newsletters must be received by noon on Fridays.
