Peace Day – September 21 (Monday)
Peace Day will be celebrated at ISB on Monday. Students are invited to wear white, and can be out of uniform (while still adhering to our dress code).
ES Parent Conferences – October 1 and 2
We are looking forward to sharing your child’s learning progress in our upcoming Parent/Teacher conferences. For grades 2-5 only, students are invited to attend the conference with you. Your child’s teacher will be in touch with how this will look, but keep in mind that this structure is not a student-led conference, but rather a chance for students to informally discuss how their learning has progressed in the first several weeks of school. Students in grades PK-1 will not be involved in the Parent/Teacher conference. All students are welcome to attend the Book Fair in the ES library HUB and the ESMPR where supervision will be provided.
In your child’s bag on Monday Sept. 21, you will find an important document that outlines how to register with our online conference scheduler, Pick-a-Time. This letter contains the username and password for your child. Please be aware that EACH child in ES has a separate username and password. Pick-a-Time will open at Tuesday morning Sept. 22 at 8am, and will close on Sept. 29, 2pm.
ES After School Activities
This Semester’s After School Activity program will begin on Monday, September 21st.
ES ASA locations and availability will be posted daily outside the CAO (near the bookstore). There are still limited spaces available in some of our ASA. You can still register at the CAO but don’t delay! Remember, once the ASA schedule begins there are NO REFUNDS however, you may change your ASA choice once it is before your third session. I am in the CAO office daily from 1:30 – 3:30pm if you have any questions or concerns.

(Repeat) Elementary School International Day Volunteers Needed
ES International Day is set for Friday, 30 October, 2015. This is a fun filled day for the elementary school when parents turn the classrooms into various countries represented here at ISB. Students learn the history, heritage, and culture, of these countries through playing games, creating beautiful artwork, tasting new foods, and learning new languages. This special day of learning only happens because of parent volunteers. If you would like to be a part of the ES International Day team, please contact your country rep or ES PTA reps: Mindy Lorber mindylorber@gmail.com and Verena Petzinnaverena19@yahoo.com
