GREAT NEWS! A combined effort from the Nichada community has RAISED AN AMAZING TOTAL OF 878,000 BAHT for earthquake relief! Because of your efforts, our friends at the Moonlight Foundation will be able to rebuild their school which provides free education for children living in poverty in Kathmandu. We were overwhelmed with how many different groups came together to fundraise including: White Elephant, MS/HS charity run, ISB After School Dance, MS drama, Zumba classes, yoga classes, South Asian Food Fair, HS student council, ES Nepal Relief, the HS/MS GIN clubs, a grant from the ISB Service Fund, the MS held an art auction, the band and choir put on charity concerts, not to mention the many generous donations from individual teachers, parents and students. We share a symbiosis with the Moonlight Foundation, hosts of our annual GCW Nepal trip, and want to continue to provide support even after we stop hearing about it in the news.
