The Safety Corner – Urgent Message to Drivers
by Rick Nelson
ISB Safety Manager
rickn@isb.ac.th
When arriving on campus through Nichada Thani, all student drop-offs and pick-ups should take place through the main gate and on campus. The pedestrian entrance gates near the main gate, elementary school and new sports complex are for walkers and bicyclists only. Cars, golf carts and motorbikes should not use these points to drop off or pick up students. We have had a number of near misses with children and adults when motorists stopped or entered into bike lanes near these crossing points. Thank you for your assistance and support with this important safety guideline.

Community Activities Office
Dr. Andrew Davies
andrewd@isb.ac.th
Some bitter-sweet news as Justin Wah (our Community Activities Office coordinator) has left ISB to pursue a dream. Justin has recently been appointed to the position of assistant coach with the Indonesian Super League team Mitra Kukar FC. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for Justin and a recognition of his coaching talents and wonderful personality. Justin will be missed by the ISB community for his great work in the CAO, his ability to get the best out of soccer players, and his positive nature.
Some very good news is that Bob Connor, our former Athletics Director, will replace Justin in the Community Activities Office at the beginning of February. Bob brings with him a wealth of experience and know how that will benefit our community – he has served very successfully as Athletics Director at Jakarta International School, Singapore American School and at ISB.
For the 2015/16 school year, Bob will continue as coordinator of the Community Activities Office and will also serve as an assistant Athletics Director.
Our search for an Athletics Director continues and we hope to bring candidates for interviews on campus in the not too distant future.
