Job and Maria Charity Fun Run – TOMORROW – Friday, Jan. 16!

Lace up your sneakers, it’s time to run and raise money to send underprivileged Thai kids to school.

The Job and Maria Charity Fun Run will be held at 4:30 TOMORROW (Jan. 16) at the ISB Track.

Racer Registration will be at the event: there is no set registration fee, but all donations are welcome.

Bring a picnic supper, or buy a sandwich or smoothies from Subway or Twist. There will be free fruit and cookies for the racers.

Race #1 – The Job and Maria Mile – High School (4 laps) Guest racers: U17 Girls Basketball team

Race #2 – Middle School Mile (4 laps) Guest racers: U13 Girls Soccer team, U13 Boys Soccer team
Awards for High School and Middle School winners

Race #3 – PreK and Younger (1/2 lap) (Parent support welcome)

Race #4 – Hand-in-Hand Race: For parents, children, siblings, and friends of all ages: Racers must hold hands (1 lap)
Sticker awards for young racers

Race #5 – KG – Grade 1 race (1 lap)

Race #6 – Grades 2 – 3 (2 laps)

Race #7 – Grades 4 – 5 (3 laps)

Mother Daughter Sock Hop and Dinner ​​this Saturday, January 17, 2015 from 5 to 8 pm

Please join the Girls Scouts for their annual Mother Daughter Sock Hop on January 17 in the MPB.

​A few tickets ​are still available from the CAO office or by emailing gsthailand40@gmail.com. ​Cost is 700THB per person. The dance is linked to a fundraising campaign, “Change for Change”, which asks our community to collect/donate change and drop it off at the Sock Hop. All profits and donations will be used to buy items for Sparrow Home and Angel’s Home.

To kick off our 2015 “Socials”there will be a Welcome Back coffee morning for the ISB British community from 10:00am till 12:00pm, Friday 23rdJanuary at TAGS Scuba Café. This is located near the Oasis shopping centre on Samakee Road, opposite the 7-11 store.No RSVPs necessary just drop by if you are free. Instrumental Music Lessons

ISB offers an after-school Instrumental Music Lesson Program on a variety of instruments like drums, clarinet, flute, piano, guitar and more. Our schedule is filling up with returning students, but we still have some openings for new families or families new to the program.

Lessons will start the week of January 26th in the Performing Arts Centre, Floor M, in the practice rooms. A final schedule will be sent out to all registered families before the lessons begin.

IB Music Recital Announcement

The IB music students are having their annual music recital this Tuesday, January 27th, in the CCT beginning at 6:30 pm.  A wide variety of musical styles will be presented by students who have practiced over the course of several months in preparation.  This year there will be performances on solo piano, solo guitar, drumset, violin and voice.  Please join us for some outstanding music making by our dedicated ISB musicians.  The concert is free and all are invited.
