The Patrick Haney World Cup came to a close with some thrilling matches being played over the course of the 3 week tournament.

Teams from all over the world (13 high school, 1 middle school, and 1 teacher team) did battle to win the ultimate prize in the Beautiful Game.

Final game of the Cup was fittingly played between the Amazing 8th grade team (Japan White), and the Underdog 11th graders ++ (Italy White). Both teams showed great tenacity to make it to the finals, and when they got there neither disappointed in their level of commitment and quality of play.

Italy White came out as eventual Champions, with a disappointed, but gracious Japan White finishing as Tournament Runners Up.

Here are the final standings in this years Patrick Haney World Cup.

Cup Competition: 1st Italy Blue, 2nd Japan White, 3rd Italy White, 4th Portugal

Plate Competition: 1st Japan Blue, 2nd England, 3rd Brazil, 4th Korea.

Well done to all participants. In all the different ways you could honor Patrick and his Family, you found the perfect one. Your fantastic spirit, sportsmanship, and camaraderie was a fitting way to pay tribute to the Haney family. You all showed why ISB is such a fantastic place to be a student, parent, or member of staff.

Thank you all………
