Parent Training Follow-up: Exploring Word Study

Thanks to all of the parents who attended the April 3rd parent workshop on Word Study.  If you are interested in accessing the keynote, you can do so here.   You can support your child’s word study efforts by giving them time to practice some of the sorting activities listed.  Lastly, parents have asked for high frequency or sight word lists.  In the elementary, we use Fry Words.  Fry words are specifically taught in grades KG through 2.  However, students who are struggling in reading or writing can benefit from extra practice of reading and writing these words in all grade levels.
