This coming Monday, March 10 we will be hosting Nick Terzis the director of American Athletics Scholarships Pty Ltd who will run two free information sessions on U.S. Sports Scholarships. The first session will be offered at 10am in the MPB and the second at 6.30pm. Information can be found at this link: https://goo.gl/PHG8uh
We encourage any parents to attend who are interested in gaining a deeper understanding of possible athletic scholarship opportunities in the U.S.
The Upper 90 College college soccer ID camp sessions that were to be run this weekend have been postponed until March 29/30. This session will have a college scout present to ID any soccer players who may have the potential to receive some form of soccer scholarship into U.S. Colleges in the future. Please follow this link: https://goo.gl/ry4bL0 for more information and register for the weekend at this link: https://www.regonline.
Both companies offering these sessions have been involved in placing students in colleges from Asia Pacific. For more information on each company, please contact direct to the organisers displayed on their flyers linked above.
We hope these sessions will help parents and students who are trying to access such future scholarships and welcome any families from Middle or High School to attend these sessions.
A Busy Season Three!
With HS returning from GCW we have been busy over the past two weeks with BISAC weekly games against Shrewsbury and Ruamrudee. This weekend our U17 Softball teams and Badminton teams are competing in invitational tournaments held at Ruamrudee International School and our girls Varsity Softball team will also be participating in the BPS Softball invitational. We hope that these tournaments provide our teams a good chance to gain some game experience early in the season and for our Varsity Softball Girls this helps fill the void created from the cancellation of our Softball Exchange.
Our Varsity Track and Field Team will be competing in our one home meet of the year tonight; the BISAC Senior Invitational Track Meet. This is the second year that we have hosted this meet and with 152 Athletes registered to compete it will be a great evening of Track and Field. The schedule is attached to this announcement if you wish to join us for the evening, which starts at 4.00pm.
Next weekend (14-16 March) our pre-IASAS Track & Field and Badminton Exchanges take place in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. We have attempted to go paperless with information on this exchange and we have to admit that it has not had much success! We will be returning in the future to sending home paper information sheets as well as emailing information. If you are still unsure of details of these trips or have not had information sent to you, please email me immediately and we will forward through information.
We have also begun to offer a different method of payment for our Exchanges and IASAS trips. Parents can now pay directly into a designated ISB account held at Siam Commercial Bank instead of sending cash with your child. We’ve had great feedback on this so far and it is very likely that next year we will no longer accept cash in the office, but only deposits direct into this account. Please let us know your feedback on this process over then next two months as we trial this for the exchanges and IASAS payments.
We wish all our teams the best for their tournaments this weekend, Go Panthers!!
