Celebrating Patrick Haney’s Birthday

by Dr. Andrew Davies
andrewd@isb.ac.th

Dear ISB Community

We will be commemorating the birthday of Patrick Haney on Monday 10th March at 6:30am. A tree has been planted in Patrick’s honor and we will gather by the tree at the entrance to the new sports facility (by the track). Friends and relatives will be able to say some words, complete a reading, or  place mementos on the tree (such as a special ribbon, laminated photo, a reading / poem, flowers).

For those new to the ISB community, Patrick was an eighth grade student who tragically passed away in May last year following a soccer match. Patrick had a rare heart condition. Patrick was wonderful son, brother, student and friend and he is deeply missed.

Sincerely,

Dr. Andrew Davies

by Maggie Oliver
maggie196800@yahoo.co.uk

We have an up and coming development in the netball arena, its very exciting and a great opportunity for our hard working ISB Panthers Netball Team and ANYONE interested in learning and developing the game.

The Academy will run at Bangkok Pattana on a Saturday morning, 8-10am. We have a minibus from ISB leaving at 6.30am. Many thanks to Andy Vaughan the Athletics Director for offering this. Limited spaces available on this transport so please express your interest ASAP.

The Academy begins on Sat the 22nd of March and will run for 2 wks prior to the Songkran break. We shall resume for the final 6 wks of term and end with a school tournament.

The coaches for the Academy will be volunteers from the Bangkok Netball League alongside myself and an Aussie coach Pauline who has previous experience in setting up a very succesful Junior Academy in Dubai.

Please see the attached flyer and let me know as soon as possible your interest in attending and developing in the Academy.

I would love to see all of the players who have attended ISB every Tue evening and trained hard to attend and enjoy the Academy.

I look forward to speaking to you all soon, please email me back ASAP with your interest and we can register you.

A small fee has been set by Bangkok Pattana of 1000 thb for the 8 wks this will include an Academy training shirt.

Many thanks

Maggie
