Bangkok Shutdown: ISB Update Tuesday 14th January, 2014

Dear ISB Community,

ISB plans to run a full school day on Wednesday 15th January (7:20am to 2:05pm) for those students that can safely get to and from school.

Montri transportation will be able to run most buses and vans on Wednesday 15th January. However, the following bus routes will not run:

I-C 1   (Except areas: Ramkhamhaeng soi 164, Nichada Thani areas)

I-R 1

I-R 3

I-R 4

I-T 13 B

I-V 1   (Except areas: Ngamwongwan 27 and Phaholyothin soi 35)

For students on cancelled bus routes, Montri will run buses from the Emporium Suites (next to the Emporium Department Store)  at 6:15am on Wednesday 15th January. The closest BTS station is Phrom Phong.  If your child will be on this bus, please complete this form by 5:00pm today. Mr. Peter Roback, HS Vice Principal, will be waiting for students in the morning – phone 081 827 2742. Drop off will be approximately 3:00pm in the afternoon at the  Emporium Suites. MS Vice Principal, Mr. Moe Baron-Toaldo, will escort students in the afternoon – phone 085 811 8533. Parents of students in ES and MS should arrange a safe pick up and drop off.

All buses and vans will depart ISB in the afternoon at 2:15pm. There will be no activity buses.

To help with the continuity of learning, teachers will be in contact electronically with those students still unable to get to school.

• ES: Teachers will use their class blogs and/or parent email.

• MS and HS: Students should check their Haiku page and email inbox.

We will remain in contact with our security advisors, monitor events, and be in touch again when needed.

Normal Schedule:Panther Swimming, Panther Gymnastics, and Panther Tennis

Continue as normal, however, will depend on the status of the adult in charge. You will be contacted if this status changes.

ES Musical Rehearsal for Dr. Dolittle will be held directly after school until 3:15pm in the Chevron Theatre for locally-based students or others who have made arrangements to stay near school.

The below activities have not started yet:

After School Dance, Instrumental Music Program, Panther Track and Field  and Elementary After School Activities (ASA).

ISB Athletics Information for Wednesday 15th January

Varsity, Under 17, Under 15, Under 13, Under 11 trainings will continue for those students who live in and around the Nichada Area at regular times (2:15pm for U11-U15 and 3:15pm for Varsity).  No activity buses will be running.
