First Day of Semester 2 – Monday, January 13th, 2014

Dear ISB Middle School Families,

Happy New Year 2014!  And welcome back to what promises to be an exciting and challenging start to Semester 2.  As you know from the recent all-school communications, on Monday school will be in session (grades 4-12) from 7:20 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., though no busses will be running for students or faculty in either the morning or afternoon.  Our priority as we begin the semester is to get our MS students back into learning routines as soon as possible.

Please see Monday’s special schedule linked here.  We will follow a Day 1 schedule order, but will begin the day with students going to their Core C61, C71, or C81 classrooms to pick up their new Semester 2 schedules from 7:20-7:25.

If your Middle School child is unable to attend school on Monday, please do the following:

  • Inform our MS Attendance Secretary Khun Roong by email at roongtin@isb.ac.th
  • Have your child check their Haiku class pages at 3:00 pm on Monday to see their new classes and to access class resources and/or assignments
  • If your child has any questions about their Semester 2 schedule, please have them contact their counselor by email.

Counselor Contacts

Grade 6: Cynthia Nordmeyer – cynthian@isb.ac.th

Grade 7: Jackie Greenwood – jackieg@isb.ac.th

Grade 8: Ross Tague – rosst@isb.ac.th

Families living in areas affected by the demonstrations are urged to put safety first.   Again, we recommend that students who are absent check their Haiku class pages at 3:00 on Monday, by which time teachers will have been able to post any resources, assignments, or other instructions.

Thank you in advance for your flexibility as we prepare for a rather complicated start to Semester 2.   Please keep an eye out for further ISB eNews updates, and hopefully we will be back to a full school schedule very soon.

We are looking forward to seeing all students who are able to attend on Monday!

Best regards,

Tom Burgess

ISB MS Principal
