Pre-Participation Physical Examinations (PPE’s)

by Andy Vaughan
andyv@isb.ac.th

Bumrungrad Hospital will be continuing their PPE Medical Examinations today (Thursday 15th) and tomorrow (Friday 16th). All students in middle and high school need to complete a PPE before attending any ISB Athletics Try-Outs. This is not required for our community sports teams (BYS, BBSA etc…)

The total cost for the PPE is 1000 baht and is taking place in the MPB 1-3. We strongly advise students to have their checks completed this week, even if they are not doing sport till later in the year. If you are unable to attend this week, then please print the forms from online and bring to either Bumrungrad Hospital (not the local clinic as they don’t have an EKG machine on site), World Medical Center or a hospital of your choice then turn into the Athletics Office.

When attending PPE checks this week, please ensure that you have sent your child with the forms fully completed. You will need to:

1. Print the PPE forms from the following links:

Page one of the PPE can be found at this link: https://www.schoolon.net/isb/PPE1.pdf
Page two of the PPE can be found at this link: https://www.schoolon.net/isb/PPE21.pdf

2. Fill in the parent/guardian side (Page 2) and sign it.

3. Complete the General consent to treatment and release from Bumrungrad if you are attending the session in the next two days.

The medical consent form can be found at this link: https://www.schoolon.net/isb/General-consent-to-treatment-and-release.pdf

Kind regards,

Andy Vaughan

This new school year will start with a full season of professional coaches teaching the skills of Track and Field.

We find it’s important that the student learn to focus on their own personal best and still be a part of a team.

It will be our first season and therefore we will start our pilot with meeting once per week. This will take place on the track at ISB from 4.30- 6.00 pm. It will be the perfect step up for you to compete at the track and field program from ISB in the last season, 2014.

The coaches will teach different disciplines in track and field (high jump, long jump, hurdles, shot put, javelin and sprints) and will round it off with track meets. We will also try to have meets with different schools in the future.

Come and join us for a season full of track and field experience! We are ready for you.

Please sign up on the “Community Activities Info Day” Saturday, August, 17 from 9:00am – 12:00 pm, to be held in the ES Cafeteria and ES Multi-Purpose Room.
