Message from Kelly Armitage and Diana Drummond
Dear Parents,
Thank you for a wonderful school year. As it draws to a close, we take an opportunity to wish our departing families all the very best as they transition to their next “home.” Each of you has helped shape our ISB community in special ways. Thank you for your support, energy and the ideas that you share. We are a better school for you having been a part of us.
The end of the year also has us wishing farewell to some ES faculty members who are off to their next adventures. We will miss them all and thank them for their passion for learning and teaching:
Jaclyn Mac (Kg), Melanie Slimko (3), Paz Molina (art), Jen Yoo (3), Chris Law (5), Chrissy Hellyer (3), Krista Blovad (5), Maureen Harper (Speech/Lang), Carmel Kean (counselor), Paul Dufficy (EAL), and Suzanne Sizemore (learning coach).
We also have a few teachers retiring. We thank them for their years of service to our school and community. Trish Neubrand (art), Rebecca Rogers (2), and Olga Steklova (EAL).
Kindergarten Book Sale
The Kindergarten would like to thank you for your donations and support for their book sale. We collected more than 27,000 baht for the school in Khao Lak that is supported by After the Wave. Again THANK YOU!!!!!

Student Class Placement for 2013-14
Students by ISB Class Placement for the 2013-2014 school year will be sent via e-news and posted outside the Elementary office in the afternoon of Friday, Aug. 9.

Report Cards and Library Accounts
Please ensure you have returned all overdue books or paid for lost books at the HUB.
ISB policy dictates that student report cards are withheld until unresolved library accounts are settled.
HUB Summer Hours
The HUB will be open this summer, Monday – Friday, from 7:00 – 3:00, with the exception of the following holidays: Monday, July 22nd – Tuesday, July 23rd

Summer Learning
The ES Summer learning web page is a great resource for students and parents alike. Full of links, tips and of course, a comprehensive list of suggested summer reading for all ages and stages. Please go to inside.isb.ac.th/elementary or visit the ISB Parent Portal under the Elementary tab at the top.
For Grade 5 Parents
For incoming 6th Grade Students Only, there will be a welcome Saturday on August 10.
Students please take the opportunity to receive an early welcome from MS administration, counselors and students. We will have a brief presentation followed by guided tours of the Middle School from our Student Ambassadors.
After school Thai class 2013-2014
The schedule is every Monday and Thursday.
The first class starts on Monday, August 19 at 2:15 – 3:00pm at Thai class 110 and 111. The responsible teachers are the same, K. Ying and K. Charuwan.
International Day for New School Year 2013-14 Early Notification for Parents
International Day for 2013-14 falls a little earlier than usual this year, on October 11. Parents may like to consider costume plans during summer vacation trips to ‘home’ countries.
Summer School
Registration for ISB’s 2013 Summer school is now open! We have elementary classes available for preK students to grade 5 students. An Early Bird special registration is available for all sessions:
Session 1: June 10 – July 5
Session 2: July 8 – July 26
Full Session: June 10 – July 26

TOYS WERE DELIVERED!!!
Just wanted to share with you, that the toys kindly donated by your children, collected during last month were delivered on Thursday, May 30th, to their new home – theToy Library at Wat Songploo.
Rest of the toys will be delivered to different toy libraries in upcountry.

ES Bike Shed Closed
For safety reason the ES bike shed will be closed from June 10th until the end of June as it will be used for old furniture keeping area. Thanks for your support. Any information or schedule change we will let you know.
