At ISB, we highly value sharing and celebrating our learning with families. This happens in a variety of ways. For example, we have music shares, celebrations of learning, evening concerts, student led conferences, mystery readers, writing shares, science expos, poetry slams, plays, musicals, art shows, and a variety of other ways throughout the year.
Another way our students share with each other is at student assemblies. These occur several times throughout the year, and they are a chance for our PK-grade 5 students to gather and share a song, idea, or hear messages around being global citizens. They are focused on students sharing with other students. Occasionally, we have parents who wish to see them. Due to space and safety regulations, we are unable to accommodate parents coming to our student assemblies. We do offer a DVD recording of our student assemblies when students perform. If you would like to obtain a copy of last week’s ES music student assembly, please bring a blank DVD (available in the bookstore) to the Main Library. Circulation has a form for you to complete and they will burn a copy for you.
An upcoming student assembly is our Closing Assembly on the last day of school. This is a student assembly only, and we will not have room to accommodate parents. Thank you for your understanding.
