Occasionally, our visiting consultants from Freedom from Chemical Dependency (FCD) pass on some information regarding teenage substance use and abuse. Here is a terrific article on the effects of alcohol and other substance use on the teenage brain. Recently they have also been sharing information about eating disorders and general health of our community information.
In late April, FCD will host a “webinar”, titled, “How to Know and What To Do: Early Warning Signs of Substance Use”. These sessions are hosted online and parents participate through their computers for a fee. For more information on joining this webinar, read more here.
