Finding the right lines of communication in a large school like ISB can be difficult at times and a goal for us has been to make communication simpler and more meaningful for parents. Please find below a brief summary of the best way to communicate with teachers and administrators at ISB.
Parent/Teacher Communication
Most often, any concerns or worries are best addressed with the classroom teacher so please feel free to email the appropriate teacher either to bring up a concern or to request a meeting. Teacher email addresses are published in the parent portal https://inside.isb.ac.th/parentportal
Parent conferences are held once each semester to discuss student performance, but if you are worried about something it is best not to wait for conferences to occur. Simply contact the teacher/counselor concerned as soon as possible so the concern can be addressed. Conferences are coming up soon:
15 March: HS Parent/Teacher Conferences
28-29 March: ES & MS Parent/Teacher Conferences
Parent/Administrator Communication
We prefer that any concerns are addressed as close to the source as possible (i.e. directly with a child’s teacher, coach, counselor) before an administrator is involved. Quite often, concerns or worries can be addressed or cleared up quite quickly. Sometimes this is not possible and then it makes sense to see an administrator.
Administrators at ISB have an open door policy, but it is usually best to set up a meeting in advance to ensure that the administrator is free. Alternatively, please email any concerns and suggestions and you will typically be answered within 24 hours.
“First Friday with Andy” is an open forum for parents to meet informally with the Head of School and address any topics of interest or concern. No signing up is necessary; simply come and participate if you are free and interested. Please see calendar and eCommunication for details.
