Book Donation
On April 25/26 the Fifth Grade will be holding its Annual Used Book Sale. We are proud to be one of the main contributors of donations to Mercy Centre, found in the Klong Toey Area of Bangkok. They use this money to send children to school and to run educational programs.
However, in order for this to be successful, WE NEED YOUR HELP! While you are spring cleaning over the next few weeks, could you please look for books and magazines to donate?
Books to Donate
Children’s books
Young Adult books Fiction and Non Fiction
Adult Fiction and Non Fiction
Appropriate magazines
We also had a small section last year of Kids Toys that sold like hotcakes! If you have any games that you no longer play (with all of the pieces J), you could donate them as well.
We have a box already in place outside of the ES Office.
Thank you for your assistance!

Cafeteria News…Did You Know…?

That the best way to keep our bodies energized and hydrated in this hot weather is not through sports energy drinks or mineral powders! These are full of artificial colorings, flavorings, high in sugar and all sorts of other things no one can understand. Rather- take a look at a fruit which is indigenous to Thailand and is a drink at the same time – the Coconut. Coconut water and flesh is full of potassium, calcium, chloride and natural salts, so that it becomes nature’s most perfect electrolyte and energy drink. Moreover, it is Antiviral, Antibacterial, Anti-inflammatory and an Antioxidant, hence a total immune booster. We are proud to announce our new Smoothie of the Month available at the Grind: Coco Loco. What’s inside? Simple: Fresh Coconut, Coconut Water and a pinch of sugar. In this climate, one could consider it to be the ‘perfect smoothie’, not to mention it is simply delicious. Enjoy.
Using the Playground
Families are welcome to use the ISB playgrounds after school hours, with supervision. However, during the school day from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm, the playgrounds are to be used only by students for scheduled recess. This includes the PK/Kinder playground. After 1:00 PK dismissal, the playground should only be used by Kindergarteners for their scheduled recess. Your cooperation is appreciated.
