PTA Welcomes You After The Holiday Break

All parents (new and returning) are invited to join us for coffee and
nibbles….to welcome YOU and the start of a new semester!  Please
stop by the front of the Chevron Theater just after dropping off your
students at 7:20am.  We will have tables set up with new parent
information, Community Activities information and members of our
Leadership Team will be there to help answer any questions.  Looking
forward to seeing you there!

Tryouts for Panther Swim Team

Students who are not currently Panther Swim Team swimmers may try out next week.

ES students:       Tuesday January 15 immediately after school at the ISB Pool

MS/HS students: Wednesday January 16 immediately after school at the ISB Pool

Students should bring a swim suit and goggles.

Students enrolled in 1st grade and above will be considered. Kindergarten students who have previously had swimming lessons and/or have been on a competitive team AND can swim at least 25 meters non-stop of two strokes are eligible to try out.

Instrumental Music Program – news for the second semester

We hope that you all had a restful break.

Preparations for the second semester of instrumental lessons have started and we are ready to begin lessons again week of January 28. All students registered for the whole year or pre-registered for the second semester of instrumental lessons should have received a draft version of the schedule. For parents new to the program or new to ISB we do have openings in nearly all instruments. Please contact the coordinator for more information and the online registration link.

As a novelty we will be able to offer beginner/intermediate piano and clarinet lessons on Saturdays. Flute lessons on Tuesdays will continue with our new teacher Khun Nung.

After School Dance Registration

Pre – Registration- Monday 14th to Friday 18th January between 10.00am
– 2.30pm in the Community Office, (next to Nurse / bookstore).
(Invoices will be available for returning Students)

Final Registration Saturday 19th, January 9am – 11am in the Community
Office, (next to Nurse / bookstore). (Invoices will be available for
returning Students)

Students who participated first term have a spot reserved for them in
the same class until Saturday 19th January when all payment must be
received to confirm their place. Students may not attend classes until
fees have been paid in full. The Schedule remains the same. ASD Term
starts Monday 21st January.

After School Dance is a full-year program. First semester, the focus
is on learning specific dance skills, vocabulary and techniques.
Second semester classes build on this foundation and work on
developing choreography for the annual Dance Concert. Please be aware
requests for new classes are difficult to accommodate second semester.

New Students with prior Dance experience may submit a Class Request
Form that is available Pre-Registration / Registration or by e-mail.

Submitting an announcement for publication
ISB accepts announcements from ISB families for potential publication in our eNewsletters. The announcements are generally intended to highlight events that occur at ISB and/or highlight information about ISB.

What to include in the announcement
• A title for your announcement
• An email contact for further information

Where to submit your announcement

tinaratr@isb.ac.th is for Elementary School (ES) announcements of interest to ES families.

Your announcement will be submitted to the appropriate Principal and/or to our Marketing Director for review. ISB reserves the right to determine which announcements will and will not be published, and to edit announcements that are approved for publication.

Frequency of eNewsletter mailings
The ISB eNewsletter that is for the entire community is sent out on Thursdays. Announcements for potential publication in this newsletter must be received by noon on Thursdays.

The ES, MS, and HS eNewsletters are sent out on Fridays. Announcements for potential publication in these newsletters must be received by noon on Fridays.
