The Writing Workshop: Embedding Word study, Grammar and Conventions
in a Writing Workshop Model
With all of the many facets of learning that occur throughout the school day, you may wonder how students acquire word study, grammar and conventions. It is tricky, but teachers are masters at embedding these important topics into their writing instruction so students see them as connected, not separate and isolated subjects. During the month of December, there will be two literacy parent trainings offered to show you what this looks like. These trainings will require active participation with the second training building on the first. Please try to attend both.
When: Thursday, December 6th AND December 20th from 7:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.
