Netball at ISB

by Maggie Oliver
maggie196800@yahoo.co.uk

What is Netball?

I can answer this with a passion as I love the game and I’m sure you will too once you have given it a go!

Netball is played on a rectangular court divided into 3 areas, it is a non contact sport, 7 players have specific areas of the court which they cover, the game has 4 quarters of play.

It is a fun game and an excellent way to meet new friends and get fitter.

Come along and give it a go, I shall be doing a refresher on the 13th for pople new to the game or who havent played for a while.

Tuesday the 13th of November 2012, 6-8pm in the Rajendra Gym.

We welcome all .

Look forward to seeing you there.

Any questions, Queries, fears please call Maggie 081-498-0721.

ISB Middle School Theatre Sports Competition 2012

by Gareth Huxtable
garethh@isb.ac.th

On the 15th of November at 3pm Middle School Drama will be holding the next Theatre Sports Competitions.  For those of you who do not know, “Theatre Sports” are acting games where the performers play theatre games in front of an audience without any planning.  Each game has rules and a time limit.  Teams are challenged to use all their powers of creativity and teamwork to work together and produce a surprising and entertaining set of improvisations.

On November 15th at 3.00pm there is the Performance Final, with the winning team lifting the ISB Theatre Sports Trophy.

NOTE that this performance will take place in the Cultural Centre Theatre in the New Arts Building.

Tickets are only 50 baht.  All money raised goes to the “Operation Smile” charity.  Donations are also gratefully received.

The Theatre Sports “Festival of Ideas” is a lot of fun and the audience is normally amazed at what these talented students can do on stage under pressure.  Come along and cheer for a team!
