It was wonderful to see more than 500 parents at our annual Open House event this past Thursday evening! The evening began with a fifteen-minute information session on using PowerSchool, which is our student information system, followed by an assembly led by the Middle School Principal Mr. Burgess. Mr. Burgess introduced the Middle School ‘team’ of Administrators, Counselors, School Psychologist, Activities and Athletics Directors, and Parent-Teacher-Association Coordinators. Mr. Burgess then briefly discussed our major MS Initiatives for this year, including: Assessment, Challenge, and e-Learning.
After the assembly, parents followed their child(ren)’s 8-period schedule for ten-minute classes with each teacher. Many parents commented following the Open House how impressed they were with the energy, care, dedication, and professionalism of our MS teaching ‘team’.
