We are looking forward to seeing all Middle School parents at our Open House this coming Thursday, September 13th from 6:30-9:00 p.m. This evening provides the opportunity to meet your child(ren)’s teachers, to visit classrooms, and to learn about our Middle School educational program. We are so privileged to have your wonderful children in our ISB Middle School, and we would like to share with you our approach to teaching and learning with adolescent students.
While our program officially begins at 6:30 p.m., we will host a brief, informative PowerSchool demonstration beginning at 6:15 p.m. in the Chevron Theater. Our opening assembly will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m., also held in the Chevron Theater. Upon conclusion of the assembly, parents will follow their child’s eight-period schedule for ten-minute classes concluding by 9:00 p.m.
Please arrive early on Thursday evening (6:00 p.m. if you are planning to attend the PowerSchool session and 6:15 p.m. if you will begin the evening with our opening assembly) and make your way to the front of Chevron Theater where you will collect an individualized schedule for each of your children – this will guide you throughout the evening with details on periods, teachers and locations. Our MS Student Ambassadors will be distributing schedules in advance of the assembly and will stay through the evening to assist parents as they wander the hallways to find their child(ren)’s classrooms.
It has been a great start to the 2012-2013 school year, and we are excited to have you join us this coming Thursday night for ISB Middle School Open House!
