Now that we are a few weeks into the year, we are starting to see some school uniform issues that need addressing. Please remind your child that only ISB issue shirts, shorts, pants, and skirts purchased through ISB’s bookstore are allowed as school uniform. Jeans, pants, skirts or shorts purchased outside of the school are not acceptable.
Additionally, please ensure that your child(ren)’s shorts or skirts must be of a respectable length for the learning environment. At ISB, this is defined as no more than 15 cm (6 inches) above the top of the knee. This length requirement applies to Alternate Dress Days as well.
Please see the Student Handbook pages 21-22 for more detailed information on this.
We require students to be in accordance with our uniform guidelines in order to attend class. This may require you to deliver appropriate clothing into school for your child or your child may have to purchase new uniforms.
I will be meeting with students in the coming weeks about their clothing choices. The consequences for uniform or dress code violations are detailed on page 30 of the Student Handbook.
Maintaining a consistent uniform policy at ISB is important to keep ISB in accordance with Thai law as well as to maintain a respectful environment at school, focused on learning. We appreciate your support in ensuring that your children dress appropriately when coming to school.
