This week in the Counseling Office.
Week three has been very busy in the Counseling Office – we met with all of the Freshmen in Freshmen Seminar to log them on to the Naviance system, and we met with all of the Seniors in Senior Meeting to discuss the first steps in the university application process. We also had a meeting with the parents of seniors to show them the same power point to get both seniors and their parents off to a good start for this very important year.
Although it was a heavy down pour outside, we had a wonderful turnout last night at the Senior Meeting for parents. Thanks so much to those of you who braved the weather to come learn about the process of university admissions. If anyone didn’t get a chance to attend and would like the power point, please contact Kevin at kevinc@isb.ac.th and he will email you a copy.
Seniors should now be making an appointment with their counselor to discuss their individual university application plan.
This week in Freshmen Seminar all students signed on to Naviance and also took a Learning Styles profile survey, the results of which will be discussed in our next meeting with them after school on 5 or 6 of September. Parents, this would be a very good talking point for you to have with your son or daughter – ask them about their learning style. They can show you their results on Naviance.
What’s Coming Up..
University Research Lab – open EVERY Monday for students who would like to work on their university application, essay, search, etc. Open from 2:15 – 3:00 in Room 203 and a counselor will be there to help. Encourage your senior to make this a weekly habit
