The International School of Singapore will hold a fun, yet competitive baseball tournament in Singapore over the Thanksgiving Weekend – Friday through Sunday, November 23rd through November 25th.   Two games per team are scheduled on Friday, two games on Saturday, and one game with closing ceremonies on Sunday.  In the past, teams from Singapore, Manila, Jakarta, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, and Hanoi where represented.

There are two age divisions for this tournament; under 13 and under 15 on 31 March 2013.  If you are 12 and under or 14 and under on 31 March 2013 and interested in trying out for the team, please contact:

The U15 team will start practices at ISB on Reinsch Field this Sunday, 26 August from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm and hold practice each Sunday from now until the tournament.   The U13 team will also start practices at ISB on Field B this Sunday, 26 August, also fromm 12:00pm to 3:00pm.  All are welcome to try out for the teams.  If there are more players than slots available (we will take 11 players), the coaches will conduct a selection process to be completed by the end of September. All players selected must be accompanied by an adult to Singapore who is accountable for the player’s supervision.

For your consideration, below is a rough estimate of costs:

Hotel – $150 Singapore dollars per night (3 nights).

Air Fare – 10,000 Baht per person

Uniform – 1,000 baht

Transportation – 2,000 baht per person (from hotel to field and back).

Entry Fee  –  $100 per player

This tournament is not sponsored or associated with BBSA or SEAYBST.  One day of school will be missed (Friday 24 November).  Tryouts for the SEAYBST team will start before this tournament and every effort will be made to minimize schedule conflicts in order to ensure players focus on what is most important – their school work.

We are looking forward to a great weekend in Singapore.
