Message from Kelly Armitage and Diana Drummond

Dear Parents,

Thank you for a wonderful year!  2011-2012 has been a year of ups and downs, indeed, but one absolutely full of growth and learning.  We shared many changes this year, while also building upon our traditions and creating a climate where every child finds success.  The end of the school year always seems to arrive quickly.  While we celebrate the learning growth of each child, we also say goodbye to many friends.  We have over 80 students and their families moving on to other places.  We wish each family the very best in the transition, and future adventures.  Each child has been meaningful in our lives in many different ways.  We will miss all families who are moving on and find comfort that we are only a “skype” away.  We have some teachers moving on to other adventures as well.  Ms Ethridge (library), Ms  Montegna (Spanish), Ms  Tulli (Kinder), Ms  Pucci (EAL), Ms  Ashby (Kinder), Ms Chin (grade 1), Ms DeYoung  (grade 1), Ms Wood (grade 2), Ms Smart (grade 2), Ms Chesebro (grade 3), and Ms Robertson (LS) are moving around the globe – some going home and some to new international posts. Their dedication, professionalism, and passions have made ISB a better school and have given many gifts to our children and their future. They will always be in our hearts. We would like to thank our 1-year substitute teachers Ms Hebard, and Ms Ryan who are ready to spread their wings and find their own teaching positions. We would like to thank all parents for supporting their children’s learning and for being involved in ISB.  We greatly value school-parent partnerships.  We wish you a fabulous summer, full of family, adventure, and laughter.  We look forward to seeing those of you returning in August.
