Senior Transition Day is REQUIRED for all Seniors: May 28, 2012. Mark your calendars. Also due on May 28 is the High School Clearance Form. This form was handed to students today (Friday, April 27). School records will not be released until this form is returned to the counselors.
Grades 9, 10, 11, 12: Stay focused . . . organize papers, homework, and tests for the coming semester examinations. PLAN, PLAN, PLAN- Look ahead in your schedule of assignments and activities. Plan your study time carefully. If you feel tension and stress building, please do not hesitate to see your counselor!!
Grade 11: Junior Seminar!!! Thursday May 3 during Flex. More info to come…
Juniors should be developing their “long list” of colleges and universities. Juniors are reminded to attend and meet with admissions representatives when they visit ISB. Even if you do not apply to a particular university, you can still learn something about admissions, university organization, college majors, and learn helpful hints about the application process. Check Naviance for the list of university visits (and see below).
On-line SAT Deadline for the JUNE SAT I and II is May 8. Juniors who will need a TOEFL for admissions purposes should sign up soon at www.toefl.org.
Grade 12:
*As college decisions come in, students need to see their counselor to update Naviance.
Decision and Deposit time!! Remember, “double depositing” is not allowed. You must choose only one university to send the admissions deposit!
UCAS application system (United Kingdom) You must return your decision about which university to save as a “Firm” acceptance and which to save as an “Insurance” acceptance, the rest you refuse by default. See your counselor if you have any questions.
Reminder to All: Requests for documents (transcript, letters of recommendation, etc.) for summer programs or transferring to another high school (leaving ISB), please allow three weeks for processing. Requests should be made to the student’s counselor.
