This weekend is the last weekend that our HS teams will be competing, with our JV Volleyball teams and our U17 Badminton Players joining the local BISAC tournaments. Please see the game schedules attached if you wish to attend. We wish all these teams the best as they compete in these tournaments this weekend.
I also want to highlight the great achievements of our Varsity Teams at IASAS over the Songkran break. Our Badminton teams both had excellent tournaments, with the girls team finishing fourth in the consolation game and the boys narrowly losing the finals to Taipei American School in Kuala Lumpur. Our Track and Field Teams achieved well in Taipei with our boys finishing 6th and achieving many personal bests. Our Girls team had an incredible meet challenging neck to neck against Singapore to finish with Silver. The girls broke a total of 5 IASAS records in the 4x100m, the Medley Relay and in the High Jump, 100m Hurdles and the 400m Hurdles.
Our Girls Softball team had an incredible tournament also, winning all of their round games and narrowly losing to the home crowd SAS in the finals. The Boys Softball team battled hard in the round play and overcame the home favorites, SAS in the finals to win Gold. Both teams performances were outstanding.
It has been a highly successful season with 1 Gold, 3 Silvers a 4th and a 6th, however it has been even more successful with the team atmosphere that has been evident in all our High School teams. We are very fortunate to have a group of outstanding coaches working with our teams and I would like to thank each of them for their great work this season.
