*** POSTPONED *** ISBangkok to host Conference forNative and Non-Native Teachers in April 2020

April 25, 2020 @ 7:30 am - 5:00 pm

Dear ISALT Participants and Presenters,

It is with much regret that we inform you that the ISALT Conference scheduled for the 25th April 2020 has been postponed until next semester.

On 2nd March, the Office of the Private Education Commission (OPEC) issued an official communication to schools to “delay invitation anyone from foreign countries to attend meetings or seminars or related events until the situation of the epidemic of Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) is resolved”.

We also understand that schools and individuals are hesitant about traveling at this time.

Full refunds will be issued and we will be in touch in the next couple of weeks.

Once we have determined a new date, we will begin the registration process again.

We thank you very much for your support of the inaugural ISALT conference and we look forward to hosting later in 2020.

Sincerely,

Gaby Geneser

Loreto Alonso

About ISALT – Supporting language learning in international schools

ISALT (International Schools Association of Language Teachers) is a non-profit organization committed to supporting native and non-native language learning in international schools.

ISALT was established to meet the specific needs of students and teachers in international schools. While other organizations exist at the national level to support language development, they do not meet the unique needs of international schools and are often geographically distant.

ISALT aims to support learning and cross cultural understanding through:

  • The provision of professional development for language teachers in international schools

  • The organization of conferences specifically designed for language teachers

  • The provision of forums for the sharing of materials and resources

  • Networking for language teachers in international schools

Note: We will be seeking the assistance of other schools to host the ISALT Conference for 2021, 2022 and 2023
