COMING OUT OF COVID: SEIZING THE OPPORTUNITY TO DESIGN POST-PANDEMIC EDUCATION WITH HOMA TAVANGAR & WILL RICHARDSON

ASSESSMENT PRACTICES FOR ACCELERATING LEARNING (6-12 MATH) WITH ERMA ANDERSON

Formative assessment is critical for showing us what students have and have not learned. However, formative data does not always provide clear, actionable steps for determining where students are in their learning and how best to move learning forward. One way to use formative data more effectively is in conjunction with a quality learning progression, a blueprint for how learning typically develops over time.

ACTION RESEARCH GRANT

Action research is a reflective process, conducted in the school setting, to solve a real problem, or to improve and enhance the instructional process. This research may be undertaken by an individual, or by several people collaboratively. At least five grants, in the amount of $1000, each will be awarded to researchers who conduct action research during the 2022-2023 school year. Those interested in pursuing this opportunity are asked to review the EARCOS Action Research Grant Guidelines and to complete the EARCOS Action Research Grant Application, both found on the EARCOS website.

WEEKEND WORKSHOP GRANT REQUEST FOR SY 2022-2023 IS NOW OPEN!

EARCOS provides reimbursement up to $3,500.00, to schools wishing to host an in-person EARCOS Professional Learning Weekend or a maximum of $2,500.00 for a virtual weekend workshop. Any EARCOS member school interested in applying for a grant should complete the online form on or before May 1, 2022.

GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP AWARD & SERVICE COMMUNITY GRANT
This award is presented to a student who embraces the qualities of a global citizen. This student is a proud representative of his/her nation while respectful of the diversity of other nations, has an open mind, is well informed, aware and empathetic, concerned and caring for others, encouraging a sense of community and strongly committed to engagement and action to make the world a better place.

THE RICHARD T. KRAJCZAR HUMANITARIAN AWARD

This award was created in honor of Dr. K who served as the Executive Director of EARCOS for over two decades. The award provides meaningful assistance to a charitable organization operating within the EARCOS region.
