MTSS AND RTI IN INCLUSIVE SCHOOLS – A TIERED APPROACH TO INSTRUCTION

The purpose of this 6-week, online course is to develop language and skills around multi-tiered systems of support/response to intervention. John Hattie’s work reveals large effect sizes for students’ outcomes when schools implement a tiered approach to instruction and intervention.

EXPERIENCING THE JOY AND BEAUTY OF MATHEMATICS THROUGH RECREATIONAL MATHEMATICS WITH RON LANCASTER

Recreational mathematics involves topics such as sequences, mathematical magic tricks, Pythagorean triples, puzzles, magic squares, mathematical curiosities and word play. These topics are engaging, intriguing and can be used as a class warm-up; a problem of the day or week; an enrichment activity; and as a way to encourage collaborative learning. Participants in this webinar will do activities related to these topics and learn how recreational mathematics can provide middle and high school students with a sense of joy in mathematics and a desire to play and tinker that can lead to a life-long interest in mathematics.

The 2021-22 Margaret Sanders Scholarship application window is now OPEN
Application instructions and forms for the Margaret Sanders Scholarship are now housed on the website of the Association for the Advancement of International Education. AAIE completes the initial review and then forwards the completed applications to each regional office where one applicant per region is selected.
All application materials must be submitted no later than November 15, 2021.

The ACAMIS Executive Director (E.D.) will be stepping down on July 31, 2023, after eight years in that role and five prior years as a Board Member. The Association of China and Mongolia International Schools is therefore seeking highly qualified candidates for the Position of Executive Director with a starting date of August 1, 2023.

Expressions of interest/applications are to be submitted by the 28 January 2022 submission deadline, and should include:
