This is always my favorite email of the year…

* drumroll please*

 THE EKC SUMMER SERIES IS OPEN! 

We EKCers have been paying close attention to you all year. Eavesdropping in hallways, reading your survey responses, collecting your questions, chatting about you over global meals….

And let me tell you, this summer course roster was MADE FOR YOU.

I hope you feel the love as you read through this list:

• Your interest in all things science of reading? (on there!)
• The concerns you have over doing right by your amazing multilingual learners? (addressed!)
• Using literacy as a vehicle in the content areas? (check!)
• Your questions about maximizing TIME? (you bet!)
• And did you say financial security? Yep, there’s a little financial literacy course this year, too. (quirk!)

Basically, making you a summer series is a little like making you one of those ‘90’s mix tapes.

I obsessively think about you.

I gather a bunch of titles I think you’ll love.

I whittle it down to a few classics and some new tunes.

I labor over the order and balance of things.

And then I’m in front of you, smiling, handing you a collage-covered cassette.

Want to hang out a bunch this summer?! Best friends forever? 

Can’t wait to learn alongside you.
