This guide has been a long time coming. I first wrote about choice-boards in my book, Learning by Choice. Then with help from amazing educators like Catlin Tucker, Kasey Bell, Shannon Miller, and Tom Spall – I had my entire perspective changed on what we could do with a choice board and learning menu.
This guide is a compilation of the why, the how, and the “let’s do this” of choice boards and learning menus.
I truly believe that choice boards can be an extremely practical way to give meaningful and relevant learning experiences in the midst of emergency remote teaching (as well as during in-person or blended learning environments).
Note: I’ve broken this guide into three distinct parts. All of the resources shared in the examples section can be accessed for free, including those I used from NextLesson when you sign-up for a one-month trial.
