ISB Learning Labs start next week with Keith
We in the LDC have been thinking about offering 20-30 minute Learning Labs. These would be offered at varying times (morning, mid-morning and afternoon) for a one-two-three week window. The sessions will be the same with multiple offerings so that faculty and staff can find one to fit their schedules. These are for quick nuggets for faculty and staff to take back into their learning spaces. The goal is to keep them short, purposeful and casual!
So, we are going to give it a go! To kick us off, Keith will be offering Learning Labs on MAP. Now that everyone in grades 3-8 has completed MAP, come and learn some ways to look at MAP data. Keith can show you some pretty cool tools to quickly learn more about your students. Our MAP Learning Labs will be hosted in the Einstein on the following days/times next week:
Tuesday, October 15: 10:15-10.45am (bring your lunch)
Wednesday, October 16: 2.30-3.00pm
Thursday, October 17: 7.30-8.00am
All you need to bring is your laptop and NWEA(MAP) login and simply turn up!
Other topic ideas brewing are podcasting, research skills, thinking routines, design cycles and VR to name a few! Look for more information on more Learning Labs after the fall break!
Please take a moment to give us feedback on what Learning Labs we should offer and if there are any you would like to facilitate!
