10 highlights to talk about for the week

Students: Are your parents asking what happened in school today? This week? Parents: Not getting much of a response when you ask your child what is happening at school? Well, here is a list of 10 events that have happened or will happen soon at school. Hopefully, there is at least one item on the list that you can talk about this weekend.

1. Habitat for Humanity will again be going to a local school in Nonthaburi this Saturday to help Rebuild Thailand. Check out some photos from their last build.

2. Less than 2000 water bottles left to sell in the cafeteria. Middle school students overwhelmingly voted to stop selling bottled water in the cafeteria.  So, don’t forget to bring your own reusable bottle. You can buy them in the bookstore now!

3. Carrot Mob is coming! Have you noticed all the carrots around school? Check out the Carrot Mob is coming post inthemix, and head to https://www.facebook.com/events/317717674943017/ for the very latest on this event.

4. Amy Krouse Rosenthal is visiting ISB the week after Songkran. She will be talking to the whole middle school on Friday, April 27, from 1:20-2:05pm. Check out her website, https://www.whoisamy.com/ and the Amy Krouse Rosenthal post inthemix.

5. Alternative Dress Day next Thursday. Wear your favorite Songran looking shirt. If you are not sure what a Songran shirt looks like, check out this photo.

6. Habitat Book & Clothing Drive. The Habitat Club is collecting clothing and books for children who live in the refugee camp at Mae Sot. The last day to bring these items is next Thursday, April 12. For more information, read the Habitat Book & Clothing Drive post inthemix.

7. Dessert Recipe Book. The Rainbow House Club is collecting dessert recipes. If you have one, please submit to Mrs. Bradley anneb@isb.ac.th by next Thursday, April 12.

8. Toy Library. Help kids in rural Thailand play with toys by donating your old toys.  Kids do community service to be rewarded with toys. Check out a VIDEO that explains this event and go to the WEBSITE for more information. Collection boxes will in the cafeteria until next Thursday, April 12.

9. Songkran Assembly next Thursday, April 12. The assembly starts at 7:20am in the Chevron Theatre. Come watch wonderful performances by our Thai students.
