10 highlights from the week to talk about

Not getting much of response when you ask your child what they did in school? Well, here is a list of 10 things that have happened or will happen soon at school. Hopefully, there is at least one item on the list that you can talk about this weekend.

1. BISAC Soccer Tournaments. Good luck to all our middle school teams. They will be playing at the following locations: U13 Girls and Boys at RIS, U15 Girls at NIST, and U15 Boys at Shrewsbury.

2. Photos from the Sleep in a Box. Sleep in a Box raised over 50,000 baht for flood relief. Check out some of the photos HERE.

3. Class Trips. Are you all packed? Do you have your favorite snacks? Students will be heading out next week. Starting on Monday after school, 8th graders will be hopping on a train to Chiang Mai. On Wednesday, 6th graders will be on the bus to Khoa Yai, and 7th graders will be on a bus to Kaeng Krachan.

4. What to do with my laptop while I am on my class trip? Leave your computer at home. You survived the three week break without it so 3 or 4 days will be easy.

5. AMIS Honor Band Trip to Singapore. Twenty-one middle school students will be flying to Singapore on Tuesday to take part in this honor band festival.

6. After the Wave Exchange Feb 24-26. See details about this event in an inthemix post.

7. JAVA 101 is a new elective course that anyone can take. Check out the JAVA 101 google site for details.

8. Do you have a bike helmet? Don’t forget ISB’s new bike helmet policy. Be safe.

9. IASAS Basketball @ISB. Games will continue Friday and Saturday. The ISB Athletics website has a complete schedule and real time results of all the games.

10. Diving Panthers Scuba Club is offering certification classes again this semester. Details will be posted soon inthemix. Until then, check out photos of the Diving Panthers from last semester.
