This week we experienced the wonderful world of visiting authors Jennifer and Matthew Holm. They met with students in large and small groups, and all students had the chance to learn from this dynamic sister/brother team. The school has gone BABY-MOUSE and SQUISH crazy! Many thanks to the PTA for helping to sponsor their visit this week!
We’ve been waiting for you to come to the HUB!
The HUB is opening its doors this year stronger than ever with a collection of over 34,000 books. It is one of the biggest English language children’s book collections in Thailand! We are also expanding our technology by starting to provide digital books on iPods, iPads and Kindles! Come check out our growing collection and if you can’t find a book or other resource, please let me know and I’ll see about getting it ordered!
Hours of Operation
We are open every school day from 6:45-3:45. Students who come to the HUB after school, must be with a parent or Mae Bahn. The Hub does not offer child supervision after school.
Book Returns. This year we encourage students and parents to return books as soon as you are done reading them. No need to wait for your HUB lesson day! Books will be available for students to check out right away and will leave you with more space in your house! Plus, it will be easier on the HUB Librarians who have to shelve our 110,000 yearly book circulations:-)
Voices in the Library
ISB is a busy place and quiet areas are hard to find. Our HUB is committed to being a place where parents and students can peacefully relax, read, and reflect. This means that we need to work as a community to keep it calm, quiet, and relaxed.
What does this look like?
Parents are asked to actively engage and monitor their children when in the library. If children are not being monitored, parent and student will be asked to find a school space more suitable for active play.
We will look for students who are walking quietly into the library space, ready to find a calm activity.
Looking forward to seeing you soon!

Last week ISB ES celebrated Peace Day with a school-wide assembly and the planting of a new peace-poll in one of our quads. ISB ES HUB wanted to do a quiet celebration of peace day by making a video of our patrons enjoying the peace that comes from reading a good book! Enjoy!
