Dear Families,
Next week will look a bit different. We apologize for the change in routine. We will have a short reading conference with each child in our class on Tuesday and Wednesday. We will administer a running record reading assessment. We will listen to your child read orally and take notes about their behaviors as a reader. We will also ask some questions about the text your child reads and have a brief conversation. At the conclusion of the reading conference, we will share strengths, tips and next steps with each reader.
There will be no zoom meetings on Tuesday May 11th hosted by Mr. Hagen, Ms. Eide, or Mrs. Rivera. Students will still attend Art and HUB on Tuesday. These changes are reflected in our weekly schedule.

Please note your child’s reading conference day and time. It is VERY important that he/she comes to this meeting, a few minutes early, as we need all of the time to read with him/her. We recommend setting an alarm in the reminders app on your child’s I-pad 5-10 minutes before his/her conference to ensure he/she will attend on time. We will be teaching kids how to do this on Monday morning.
