Cub Scouts

Since 1930, the Boy Scouts of America has helped younger boys through Cub Scouting. It is a year-round family program designed for boys who are in the first grade through fifth grade (or 7, 8, 9, and 10 years of age). The Cub Scouts accepts all nationalities and focuses on developing strong character, international citizenship and personal fitness. Parents, leaders, and organizations work together to achieve the purposes of Cub Scouting. The boys join a Cub Scout Pack and are assigned to a Den of about 8 boys in their grade.

Den meetings are fun activities that are scheduled by the Den Leader — usually two or three a month. Once a month, usually the first Wednesday evening, all of the Dens and family members gather for a Pack meeting under the direction of a Cubmaster to recognize individual and Den achievements. The Pack has once-a-month events during the year such as a Family Picnic, Day Camps, Family Campout weekend, Raingutter Regata, Pinewood Derby and Rocket Day.

Any boy in first through fifth grade can join Scouting at anytime during the year, but most new boys sign up in August.  Our registration night is Wednesday, August 24th at 18:30 at International School Bangkok (ISB) Elementary School Multi-purpose room (MPR). This is a parents only night. Join us at ISB’s Community Day 20th August from 9am to noon in the ES MPRoom to learn more about Scouting.
