Bared and exposed alongside bustling streets are colorful street markets. An endless variety of fruits and vegetables lay side by side in baskets under loosely structured huts. This is Indonesia. These iconic markets are prevalent throughout the country and are especially desirable for impoverished communities. I wanted to display a direct glimpse of food sources for Indonesians in poverty with a selection of staple and cheap foods such as peppers and potatoes. The openness outdoors also demonstrates its culture: the simplicity and natural element of Indonesian tradition.
