Spring of Sixteen

JIS | Acrylic and modeling paste | 40 x 30 cm
This work was done in a class exploring the acrylic technique. I have always wanted to try impasto, so it was a great opportunity for me to try it out. I discovered that the impasto technique is way more fun than I thought it would. One challenge I found was to make the color more vibrant, but because my modeling paste is white, the color turned out lighter than I expected. Since the project was made in May, a month before my birthday, I decided to call it Spring of Sixteen before I turned seventeen.
