Marine pollution is a growing problem in today’s world and humans are the most responsible culprits. By placing the coke bottle on the octopus, I hope to raise awareness on the detrimental effects of pollution, especially littering, on the environment. I decided to handcraft clay in order to preserve the organic curves to portray my piece in a more playful and lighthearted way instead of the gloomy connotation one would usually relate to when approaching this topic.
