Bag the Bags–Part B
Hi Everyone,
Today we read an article called Afloat in the Ocean, Expanding Islands of Rubbish by Lindsey Hoshaw. It mentioned that famous people like Ted Danson and Edward Norton are getting on board with helping our planet by creating non-profit groups and making a PSA. A PSA means Public Service Announcement–like a commercial that teaches us something. Take a look at the Edward Norton PSA about plastic bags.
Do you think it is effective? Will people listen to this message?
Do you remember to use reusable bags when heading to the mall or supermarket?
Yes this video its effective. A lot of people should started to follow him and bring a reusable bag to shopping or the trash will be increasing forever. I think a lot of people will listen to this video but not every. Those people might think that just only 1 person wouldn’t do any damage and that’s right, but what if everyone think like that. The world would be full of garbage or plastic someday if this go on. I don’t actually use reusable bag to shop but sometimes I hold and refuse to use plastic bag. And also sometimes I forget about this and use plastic bag. After I learned a lesson about this, from now on, I will try to be friendly to the word as possible!!!
The video is effective because it’s telling us to stay away from plastic because it might pollute the whole Pacific ocean. People will listen to this message because it is important to our planet is a place that is safe from chemicals, pollution and toxic wastes. We must remember to bring our own bags because it’s a bad problem with plastic and a good problem with your own bag.
Hi! I’m a student in EDM 310 at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, AL. I really think think PSA would be very effective. It’s short and to the point so it will grab people’s attention. Hopefully everyone will make an effort to protect our environment. Keep up the good work!!
